Real Weddings: Meet Megan

Megan and Scott’s wedding was summertime romance at it's finest. The southern charm drenched fetè took place in Charleston, SC. The couple exchanged vows on the banks of the Ashley River. Megan was the very first bride to wear our Centaurea gown and she did it so right! She kept her accessories minimal and let the seamed gold cloque ballgown shine. The huge coral peony in her hair was the perfect finishing touch. After the I-dos, guests dined on low country fare and danced the night away with the bride and groom, who started the party off with a choreographed number. Congratulations you two!

Inspiration: Euphorbia and Senara in Hawaii

Do you ever wonder what gives some photos that little something extra? Sure, you've got to have a talented group of people, and beautiful things to shoot, preferably in a breathtaking location. Whatever it is that adds the magic, this photoshoot, styled by Utterly Engaged and photographed for Donny Zavala’s workshop, has loads of it. The quote from Nikki Rowe painted the picture for this project and it was brought to life by the colors of the sunset on an Oahu beach, a bouquet of eucalyptus and garden roses (that looks like it washed up from some garden at the bottom of the ocean), and a crown fit for the goddess of the sea.

Real Weddings: Meet Nicole

Rooftop garden oasis I-do's in the heart of NYC. Nicole and Ben wanted a non-traditional, intimate, outdoor ceremony and reception and they found just the spot for their 60 guests at the David Burke Kitchen in New York's SoHo neighborhood. Lush greenery, flowers and the view of the freedom tower wowed guests. Nicole and Ben did away with a number of wedding traditions and opted for an extended cocktail hour, gourmet slider and truffle fry bar, boozy beignets, dancing and a GIF booth in place of a photo booth (LOVE!). Nicole knew she didn't want a white gown from the get-go and ended her search when she chose a two piece including a custom skirt, our Mulberry made in the pale aqua and gold chevron silk jaquard of our Azurite gown. Perfection for this sunny, September love-fest.

Inspiration: Celestine's Woodland Escape

All hail Persephone, the Goddess of Spring. This amazing shoot from Lynette Boyle conjures dancing flowers and fairies alight in enchanted woods. The light-as-a-feather silk chiffon and crepe de chine of our Celestine gown make it perfect goddess wear. That lush floral crown is giving us major butterflies and leaving us dreaming of eternal summer.

Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 3, the ceremony (and party)

Alas, we join Jenna and Omri for the final installation in their blog trilogy, their wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City. As you might guess, it was really good. After their romantic, tradition filled ceremony (with Jenna in our L'Elysee gown) they got down to the business of partying. Laughter ensued, they performed a duet for their guests, served up s'mores, and our Ruffle My Feathers Dress even made another appearance! Congratulations you love birds!

Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 2, the first look

Welcome back! We left Jenna and Omri, last week, after their pre-rehearsal dinner photo shoot and today we rejoin them for the first look! These two are so obviously full of fun and love, just raring to go. No doubt we are in for a good time (amiright?). Jenna chose our silk cloque, backless ballgown with a plunging neckline (L'Elysee) for the ceremony and OH how she moved it!!! Inspiration: Euphorbia in New Zealand

Wild and free in New Zealand. This stunning shoot from the South Island has got us travel crazy. As it turns out, New Zealand is made up of spectacular glaciers, picturesque fiords, rugged mountains, vast plains, rolling hillsides, subtropical forest, volcanic plateau, miles of coastline with gorgeous sandy beaches...and we're in!  This sublime, stormy imagery was captured in the rugged Lindis Valley by KATIE GRANT PHOTOGRAPHY and LILLI KAD, styled by JANNA BROWN DESIGNS and the powers that be...I mean, you can't plan for that kind of misty grey perfection.

Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 1, the rehearsal dinner

Isn't life grand? Stick with us for an extended look at Jenna and Omri's wedding celebration and you won't be able to deny it! These two love birds did it up. They started their festivities off with an NYC photoshoot, pre-rehearsal dinner. Jenna wore our Ruffle My Feathers Dress and hit the streets. Stopping for a quick twirl in the park and for a photo in front of the Shake Shack. These two then joined their nearest and dearest and indulged in the Roman-inspired pizza and original dishes that are the specialty at Marta (the swanky eatery in The Redbury Hotel in Manhattans NoMad neighborhood).
