Inspiration: Tanzanite in the Desert

“I have always loved the desert. One sits down on a desert sand dune, sees nothing, hears nothing. Yet through the silence something throbs, and gleams...” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Windswept wonder in the desert. Film photographer Jessica Scott Photography and stylist Westcott Weddings created these amazing images. Soft neutral dunes provide the perfect backdrop for our Tanzanite gown. The Mauve chevron silk burnout pattern and geode beaded bralette are undeniable, and seem made for a wedding saturated in bright desert sun. Wind, rays, and sand make this shoot a natural stunner.

Real Weddings: Meet Nicole

Rooftop garden oasis I-do's in the heart of NYC. Nicole and Ben wanted a non-traditional, intimate, outdoor ceremony and reception and they found just the spot for their 60 guests at the David Burke Kitchen in New York's SoHo neighborhood. Lush greenery, flowers and the view of the freedom tower wowed guests. Nicole and Ben did away with a number of wedding traditions and opted for an extended cocktail hour, gourmet slider and truffle fry bar, boozy beignets, dancing and a GIF booth in place of a photo booth (LOVE!). Nicole knew she didn't want a white gown from the get-go and ended her search when she chose a two piece including a custom skirt, our Mulberry made in the pale aqua and gold chevron silk jaquard of our Azurite gown. Perfection for this sunny, September love-fest.

Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 3, the ceremony (and party)

Alas, we join Jenna and Omri for the final installation in their blog trilogy, their wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City. As you might guess, it was really good. After their romantic, tradition filled ceremony (with Jenna in our L'Elysee gown) they got down to the business of partying. Laughter ensued, they performed a duet for their guests, served up s'mores, and our Ruffle My Feathers Dress even made another appearance! Congratulations you love birds!

Real Weddings: Meet Nicole

Sean, Nicole, and 'The Wonderful, Fantastic, Very Good, Not Very Bad At All Wedding Day.' These bibliophiles chose a little play on the notable 70s children's book title (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) to grace their programs and set the tone for their celebration. When you start with a couple as rad as this, add their nearest and dearest, and dress them up in their wedding day finest, 'wonderful and fantastic' doesn't even begin to cover it. Sean and Nicole said their I dos at the Water Witch Club at Monmouth Hills, New Jersey. The charming, homey venue offers sweeping views of Sandy Hook, the Atlantic Ocean, and the city skyline from one of the highest points on the eastern seaboard. Nicole chose our Fleur Bustier, Kensington Skirt, and Juliet Sash. 'Not very bad' indeed!

Inspiration: Pasithea by Chris Isham

A deserted vineyard under blue skies, a flower covered ladder, a treehouse built for two and our Pasithea gown. Yes to all of this! We can almost feel the golden summer sun and smell those lush blooms. A little frivolity and a lot of hard-core romance, everything you could hope for on a warm summer's day, captured by Chris Isham

Inspiration: Erato by Danford Photography

Sarah Watts, of Sarah's Garden, and Jesse and Karen, of Danford Photography, combined forces and we are thankful to have gone along for the journey.  The team took our Erato Gown and cathedral length Heritage Veil on an outing to Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Botanical beauty combined with the most luminous sky and the following alchemy transpired!

Inspiration: Coralia by Elizabeth Fogarty

This is one for the girly girl in all of us. Pink, peach and prettily pastel, this flowery inspiration shoot was created by a team of floral designers (not surprised) and it could not be more delightful! Blooms galore and a whole floral wall? Consider us charmed.
