Real Weddings: Meet Alex

What a sweet, private affair this is! Alex and Josh eloped in Maine at Kettle Cove with sunset views and a getaway car to match their obvious sense of adventure,

Alex customized the Nolita dress by raising the neckline and adding sleeves for a bit more coverage.  Sweet vintage vibes all around!

Real Weddings: Meet Angelina

Angelina and Roger were married in a huge industrial space in Hudson, NY and Angelina knew she wanted a rockin' custom gown, something that felt like it represented her personality. This seamed lambskin leather racerback with a fit to flare skirt gave her the edge she was looking for. We especially dig that pearlized nude and ivory color combo!

There is so much to love about this wedding!  Angelina's killer braid for one (and that of her best man), that drool-worthy, light drenched locale, and let's talk about those 1000 origami cranes that make up their altar. Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami crane's, one's wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing. Congratulations you two!

Real Weddings: Meet Clare

When it comes to grit and urban character, New York and it's five boroughs, can't be beat. Clare and Harry took advantage of everything the city they love has to offer on their wedding day. They hit the streets, with Bonnie Jenkins, and captured some killer shots featuring Brooklyn. Word around town has it that these two really know how to put on a party. Their venue, the Wythe Hotel, is a meticulously renovated, 116 year old, factory building that sits on the Williamsburg waterfront. The perfect setting for a night of big city magic. Just check out those King Kong skyline views. Clare chose a custom gown that was SO right for her easy breezy Brooklyn bride vibe.

Real Weddings: Meet Emily

The location for Emily and Sean's destination wedding was inspired by their Irish heritage and their shared love of travel. They chose an Irish country estate near the seaside town of Kinsale to host their fifty guests and set the stage for their intimate festivities. The group enjoyed two glorious days of unseasonably sunny weather, taking in the countryside and enjoying local music and food.

Emily and Sean took their first look photos at the historic Charles Fort. The couple exchanged their personally crafted vows, after which they jigged up the aisle to the traditional Irish reel, Red Haired Lass. Emily knew our Anthorium skirt would be the perfect complement to the pastoral setting, and it turned out to be a total jaw-dropper. Just check out Sean's face during that first look! The bride paired her Anthorium with a customized Plie bodice. Another little detail about this day that made it extra sweet for us? Emily's sister and matron of honor, Allison, wore our Bryant dress in claret.

Real Weddings: Meet Manya

Manya and Jonathan have friends with cool spaces. This couple was lucky enough to convince their family friend (and fashion Photographer) Ilan Ruben, to let them convert his studio into their dream wedding venue. Located in beautiful Sunset Park, Brooklyn and right on the water, the space was ideal. Manya chose our Pherousa gown (simplified). The perfect dress for this unique city feté. Congratulations you two!

Real Weddings: Meet Heidi

Heidi and Casey dated for 9 years before getting married. Needless to say, after all of that time together their family and friends were already close as can be. And all of those loved ones rallied to hand craft this homespun soiree. The couple chose Heidi's parents' home in Hancock, NH as their spot. The estate, named "The Highlands", was built in 1790 and used to belong to the bride's grandmother, who cultivated a menagerie of odd pets on the grounds (including a peacock). Special touches included a hand painted bar and table signs (all named for the couple's pets). Heidi's sister made an amazing, vintage inspired photobooth. If you think you spy a LOT of littles you aren't wrong. All 9 of the bride and groom's nieces and nephews (all under the age of 6) were part of the ceremony! Heidi wore our Orchis Tee and a custom skirt based off of the Nolita dress. The perfect combination for this intimate union.

Real Weddings: Meet Rachel

You know how they say everything is bigger in Texas?   It's clear that this love is like that. Rachel and Kevin mixed clean lines and modern sensibility with their rustic setting and turned out an event just as chic as can be. They chose lucite details, lots of white and an altar that seemed just made to frame the sun. The style certainly carried though to the wedding part too! Check out those bridesmaids in pantsuits and super dapper dudes. We love the crisp contours of our Heritage Bustier + La Reine Skirt (simplified) in this setting, specifically the juxtaposition of this combo in the fields of prairie grass and against the expanse of corrugated metal.  Rachel and Kevin under those clouds, against the clear blue sky, saying I do as the sun sets...if there is a more storybook setting for starting your life as husband and wife we can't imagine it. Congratulations you two!

Real Weddings: Meet Ivy

It's IVY!!! And oh, how we love Ivy. Not only is she one of our retailers (anyone lucky enough to have found their gown at Lovely Bride in Philadelphia already knows her), but she has become a friend over the years. So, you can imagine the excitement in getting to create a custom gown for her! One thing you may not know about Ivy is that she is a dancer. A seriously talented, trained, competitive dancer (like a gold medal winning U.S. champ...just sayin'). It follows that Ivy is comfortable in sparkly gowns so this one had to be EXTRA special and allow her to dance the night away. It was a total dream to spend time with this girlboss while we created her one of a kind gown and this beauty turned out just right. The first look got Matt all teary, and my oh my how she glowed under that grand chuppah. The night ended with this couple totally killing it on the dance floor. Mission accomplished. Mazel tov you two.

Real Weddings: Meet Katie

Katie and Christian were married in the great Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a place Christian's family has been returning to every summer for three generations. And a place that has become very special to this bride and groom over their last 12 years together. When Katie and Christian decided to get married, the U.P. offered the perfect setting. They said their I-dos on Sand Point Beach and their reception was held at the Beach Inn Motel. Breathtaking waterfalls, an Air Force jacket named Jerry (that only shows up at the best parties), a pup named Hyla, and all those pies made this one wedding loaded with personal touches. Katie chose our Citrine Gown whose ease and gracefulness was perfect for her woodland and beach settings. She finished the look with a custom headpiece and knit wrap. Congratulations you two!

Real Weddings: Meet Della

Dream dress, dazzling location, true love. Della and Anwar were married at the gorgeous Decameron Resort in Panama. Talk about a magnificent destination! This resort is right on the beach, just off the Gulf of Panama. Della chose a completely custom gown in gold tones with tons of shimmer. She looked like a royal mermaid in head-to-toe sequins. We love that she finished her look off with the touching addition of her grandmother's veil.
