Real Weddings: Meet Katy

Katy and Aaron tied the knot in Valle de Guadalupe. Never heard of it? We hadn't either...until Katy introduced us to it. Turns out Valle de Guadalupe is Mexico's wine country and we all need to go, like, yesterday!!! This trail blazing couple wanted to do something different that felt truly and uniquely them. As foodies and travel buffs this special place fit the bill. Katy wore our Coralia gown.  From the bride: "She was unlike any dress I had ever seen, and I was particularly drawn to the unique texture of the fabric. Later, when so much of our wedding became about textures: brightly woven fabrics purchased from indigenous women which served as table runners for naked wooden tables, the natural patterns of tile, wood, and stone found throughout Bruma, where our wedding was held, I would look back on that moment, when I fell in love with the texture of Coralia before anything else, as a moment that shaped the event that our wedding would become." Yep, meant to be. Isn't it great how life works out like that?! Congratulations you two.

Rock and roll indeed! We love these photos of our seamed 4-ply silk crepe mermaid with anemone horsehair hem, we call her Pherousa. And we are all about the way the fierce Asli Omar (of The Tontons) is rocking her right, natural hair, boots, and exuding major style.

Real Weddings: Meet Heidi

Heidi and Guirae said their I-dos at the Fairmont Park Horticultural Center in Philadelphia. The reflecting pond made for some gorgeous portraits of this wonderful couple. The light filled, greenhouse-like interior seemed to spill into the ceremony in the shape of the most perfect (air-plant) bouquet and arbor. Heidi made the silk organza and leather macrame strapping of our Adella gown look so sweet. We love her loose locks with that open back.

Inspiration: Iolite by Lucy Cuneo

Southern charm and European details abound at River Oaks in Charleston, SC. Stucco facades and stone water features provide rustic charm in this sophisticated shoot from Lucy Cuneo and Mallory Joyce. The bride's loose locks and that rich and wild bouquet fit the intimate vibe of this ceremony. We love the way our Iolite glitters in the candlelight.

Inspiration Shoot: Downton for Weddings Unveiled

We've got a mad crush on this Fall inspiration shoot captured by Odalys Mendez. The changing leaves on the trees create the perfect backsplash for these luxe details. The rich jewel tone invitations and deep blue velvet shoes pair perfectly with our Downton gown in light silver. The juicy florals look almost good enough to eat and that naked cake definitely is. Maybe, just maybe, summer ending isn't so bad afterall.

Real Wedding: Meet Vanessa

Vanessa and Shayla were married 60 miles north of New York City at Atlas Studios, in the scenic Hudson Valley. This historic factory was renovated in 2012 and turned into work space for creatives. It provided a light drenched industrial vibe, just right for this major party! The couple added the chicest white balloons and lanterns and let the building do the rest. They incorporated a few time honored rituals. They tasted lemon and honey and jumped the broom. They also added their own non-traditional twists, like walking down the aisle together and giving party favors of incense and personalized matchbooks. Vanessa chose our Azurite and made it all her own with our Katy Veil, Layered Chevron Belt, and a rad pair of Nike high-tops.

Inspiration: Tanzanite in the Desert

“I have always loved the desert. One sits down on a desert sand dune, sees nothing, hears nothing. Yet through the silence something throbs, and gleams...” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Windswept wonder in the desert. Film photographer Jessica Scott Photography and stylist Westcott Weddings created these amazing images. Soft neutral dunes provide the perfect backdrop for our Tanzanite gown. The Mauve chevron silk burnout pattern and geode beaded bralette are undeniable, and seem made for a wedding saturated in bright desert sun. Wind, rays, and sand make this shoot a natural stunner.
