New York Wedding

Real Weddings: Meet Clare

When it comes to grit and urban character, New York and it's five boroughs, can't be beat. Clare and Harry took advantage of everything the city they love has to offer on their wedding day. They hit the streets, with Bonnie Jenkins, and captured some killer shots featuring Brooklyn. Word around town has it that these two really know how to put on a party. Their venue, the Wythe Hotel, is a meticulously renovated, 116 year old, factory building that sits on the Williamsburg waterfront. The perfect setting for a night of big city magic. Just check out those King Kong skyline views. Clare chose a custom gown that was SO right for her easy breezy Brooklyn bride vibe.

Real Weddings: Meet Manya

Manya and Jonathan have friends with cool spaces. This couple was lucky enough to convince their family friend (and fashion Photographer) Ilan Ruben, to let them convert his studio into their dream wedding venue. Located in beautiful Sunset Park, Brooklyn and right on the water, the space was ideal. Manya chose our Pherousa gown (simplified). The perfect dress for this unique city feté. Congratulations you two!

Real Weddings: Meet Shanna

Shanna chose our La Reine skirt and Alliette bustier.  She and John were married at one of the most stately alters after being serenaded by Scottish bagpipes. Following the ceremony the couple entertained their guests at the Liberty House in Jersey City. Dancing the night away in one of the most decadent ballrooms around, with killer views of Manhattan none-the-less. Congratulations you two!

Real Weddings: Meet Nicole

Rooftop garden oasis I-do's in the heart of NYC. Nicole and Ben wanted a non-traditional, intimate, outdoor ceremony and reception and they found just the spot for their 60 guests at the David Burke Kitchen in New York's SoHo neighborhood. Lush greenery, flowers and the view of the freedom tower wowed guests. Nicole and Ben did away with a number of wedding traditions and opted for an extended cocktail hour, gourmet slider and truffle fry bar, boozy beignets, dancing and a GIF booth in place of a photo booth (LOVE!). Nicole knew she didn't want a white gown from the get-go and ended her search when she chose a two piece including a custom skirt, our Mulberry made in the pale aqua and gold chevron silk jaquard of our Azurite gown. Perfection for this sunny, September love-fest.

Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 3, the ceremony (and party)

Alas, we join Jenna and Omri for the final installation in their blog trilogy, their wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City. As you might guess, it was really good. After their romantic, tradition filled ceremony (with Jenna in our L'Elysee gown) they got down to the business of partying. Laughter ensued, they performed a duet for their guests, served up s'mores, and our Ruffle My Feathers Dress even made another appearance! Congratulations you love birds!

Real Weddings: Meet Amanda

Amanda and Benjamin were married at the New York Botanical Garden. Amanda chose a wedding dress that was beautiful and classic, but this post clearly isn't about the wedding. It is about the after party and the second dress. As a counter to her conventional gown, Amanda wanted to find a party dress that, in her words, "was fun...really screamed Amanda and would make me feel like a Queen on my special day". With only a month to go, she came across our Keto shortie (thank you internet) and the rest is history. Amanda and Ben are in agreement that her spirit animal is a unicorn and the iridescent fringe of Keto embodies that perfectly 🦄. Excuse us while we party!!!

Real Weddings: Meet Lauren

Lauren and Zach did the Big Apple proud! These cool cats celebrated the city in their dual-borough nuptials. From their first look photos (taken right across from the landmark Soho Pharmacy in Manhattan) to their intimate ceremony, at Frankies 457 in Brooklyn, Loreto Caceres Photography captured it all. The couple's day was set against the brownstones, bridges, and street scenes that make us love this city. Lauren chose to have a custom gown created from our Bellevue Bustier and Versailles skirt. It was the perfect embodiment of the sleek sophistication and spunk that is NYC.
