Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 3, the ceremony (and party)

Alas, we join Jenna and Omri for the final installation in their blog trilogy, their wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City. As you might guess, it was really good. After their romantic, tradition filled ceremony (with Jenna in our L'Elysee gown) they got down to the business of partying. Laughter ensued, they performed a duet for their guests, served up s'mores, and our Ruffle My Feathers Dress even made another appearance! Congratulations you love birds!

Real Weddings: Meet Jenna. Pt. 2, the first look

Welcome back! We left Jenna and Omri, last week, after their pre-rehearsal dinner photo shoot and today we rejoin them for the first look! These two are so obviously full of fun and love, just raring to go. No doubt we are in for a good time (amiright?). Jenna chose our silk cloque, backless ballgown with a plunging neckline (L'Elysee) for the ceremony and OH how she moved it!!! We could get lost in the architectural delights and floral filled grounds of the Hammond-Harwood House in Annapolis, Maryland. This historical gem proved to be the perfect scene for this Secret Garden inspired shoot from Stacy Bauer Photography. The bridal look showcases our L'Elysee Gown, Cathedral Length Anemone Veil, and Geode Druzy Belt. And we love the getaway look with our Naia Shorty on that sweet Vespa!

Our dresses really do get to have all of the fun. Belmont and L'Elysee were whisked away to the Tuscan countryside for this amazing shoot by Mike Larson. At least we get to live vicariously through their adventures!

Real Weddings: Meet Brittany

Brittany and Andrew tied the knot at Berkeley Hall, a picturesque Lowcountry setting, just off of Hilton Head Island in Bluffton, SC. The Jeffersonian architecture and verdant grounds managed to be both sophisticated and laid back, just what Brittany and Andrew wanted for their classic Southern wedding. Their vows were exchanged pond-side, under an arbor wrapped in vines and white flowers. The bride shone bright in a custom version of our L'Elysee, done in chiffon. The backless, flowing silhouette was perfection for this summery, sun-dappled affair.

Real Weddings: Meet Rebecca

Say hi to Rebecca, this week's real wedding!  Rebecca chose to customize our l'Elysee gown to suit her beautiful ceremony in Sayulita, Mexico (one of my personal favorite places on the planet!).

Layers of flowing silk chiffon lend a relaxed elegance to beachside venues and is anything prettier than a soft train fluttering in the ocean breeze?  (Nope.  The answer is nope.)

Inspiration Shoot: l'Elysee and Mike Larson Photography

Ciao da Italia!

I'm excited to share these inspiring images from a recent collaboration with Mike Larson Photography.

The l'Elysee gown is a personal favorite of mine.  This gown is all about the fabric.  The silk cloque is woven for us in England and has a lightness and texture that is unreal.  The opalescent color comes from neon pink and yellow and blue fibers woven between layers of the palest silver.  The result is a slightly lavender hue that catches the light in the prettiest of ways.  Throw in a stunning private Italian estate and you suddenly find yourself  in a fairytale, castle included.
