Destination Wedding

Real Weddings: Meet Emily

The location for Emily and Sean's destination wedding was inspired by their Irish heritage and their shared love of travel. They chose an Irish country estate near the seaside town of Kinsale to host their fifty guests and set the stage for their intimate festivities. The group enjoyed two glorious days of unseasonably sunny weather, taking in the countryside and enjoying local music and food.

Emily and Sean took their first look photos at the historic Charles Fort. The couple exchanged their personally crafted vows, after which they jigged up the aisle to the traditional Irish reel, Red Haired Lass. Emily knew our Anthorium skirt would be the perfect complement to the pastoral setting, and it turned out to be a total jaw-dropper. Just check out Sean's face during that first look! The bride paired her Anthorium with a customized Plie bodice. Another little detail about this day that made it extra sweet for us? Emily's sister and matron of honor, Allison, wore our Bryant dress in claret.

Inspiration: Senara in Hawaii

Two parts wind, one part water and just the right amount of that special magic that Matthew Ree adds to the equation. This styled shoot is perfection by the numbers. Lucky enough to have worked with Matthew in the past, we didn't hesitate when he asked to photograph a selection of our gowns during his Hawaii photography workshop for CLY by Matthew Ree. And man oh man just look at the beauty he captured! Stay tuned in the weeks to come for more of this Maui goodness.

Real Weddings: Meet Emilie

Emilie and Bryan rented an entire villa in Gordes to host 25 of their nearest and dearest for this destination wedding. The group spent a week making memories in Provence, culminating in this sweet ceremony. Simple elegance touched every detail, from the bride's beautifully natural hair and make up to the delightful pastel blooms by Laetitia C. Fleurs d'Atelier. Vine covered stone walls, a field of poppies, and cobblestone streets create the ideal European stage for this love story to unfold. And of course, our heroine is clad in a dreamy, gold foiled open weave linen ballgown (our Senara). Like the best vacation photos, these memories are almost tangible and leave us wanting to return.

Real Weddings: Meet Della

Dream dress, dazzling location, true love. Della and Anwar were married at the gorgeous Decameron Resort in Panama. Talk about a magnificent destination! This resort is right on the beach, just off the Gulf of Panama. Della chose a completely custom gown in gold tones with tons of shimmer. She looked like a royal mermaid in head-to-toe sequins. We love that she finished her look off with the touching addition of her grandmother's veil.

Real Weddings: Meet Katy

Katy and Aaron tied the knot in Valle de Guadalupe. Never heard of it? We hadn't either...until Katy introduced us to it. Turns out Valle de Guadalupe is Mexico's wine country and we all need to go, like, yesterday!!! This trail blazing couple wanted to do something different that felt truly and uniquely them. As foodies and travel buffs this special place fit the bill. Katy wore our Coralia gown.  From the bride: "She was unlike any dress I had ever seen, and I was particularly drawn to the unique texture of the fabric. Later, when so much of our wedding became about textures: brightly woven fabrics purchased from indigenous women which served as table runners for naked wooden tables, the natural patterns of tile, wood, and stone found throughout Bruma, where our wedding was held, I would look back on that moment, when I fell in love with the texture of Coralia before anything else, as a moment that shaped the event that our wedding would become." Yep, meant to be. Isn't it great how life works out like that?! Congratulations you two.

Real Weddings: Meet Lindsey

Lindsey and Maxwell's destination wedding had everything a great beach celebration requires: sand, sea, and a cotton candy sunset. Their Costa Rican venue, Pangas Beach Club Tamarindo, was nestled among the palm trees right on the beach. Lindsey chose our Plié Bodice and Stratosphere Skirt. We love that she topped it with a floral crown and finished her bridal look with bare feet. Congratulations you two!
