Real Wedding: Meet Kallie

Kallie is one of the most genuinely kind brides that we've ever had the pleasure of working with. That is saying a lot because our brides are the best. She was attentive to each and every detail and the result is a look we love! Kallie started with a custom version of Aleister, in 4-ply silk crepe, with a dramatically shaped back. She added a custom crepe cape, and our cathedral length circle veil. She and Greg were married in the Crabtree Kittle House Inn in idyllic Chappaqua, NY. Kallie's attention to detail naturally carried over into all of the beautiful, just-so decor that personalized their wedding. Inspiration Shoot: Aleister and Silver Maple Escape to Palm Springs!

A couple of weeks ago during the polar vortex freezeout, I did what any self respecting, warm-blooded southern gal would- I threw a camera, a gown, and a bikini into a bag and fled New York to meet up with some lady friends for an impromptu girls' weekend and desert photoshoot in Palms Springs!  One of my New Year's resolutions is to learn more about photography, so this was a great chance to play around...in the sunshine no less!

The Aleister gown's full, billowing train of silk charmeuse is perfect for whipping around in the wind! (Spring 2014)  The pearlized lambskin and ivory tones play so well off of the natural landscape.

Our nude veil blends the palette quite nicely!  I love this veil because it creates such a lovely, soft halo effect.
