Inspiration: Timeless in Azurite

One of the many reasons we love Azurite is she’s the ultimate canvas for your wedding style. You can pair her with a statement headpiece and colorful heels. Or a classic cathedral veil and sparkly sash. Or you can let your hair down and let the gown speak for itself!

Speaking of the gown, Azurite’s silk 4ply crepe bodice is super soft and comfortable, and the satin faced organza skirt is romantic and full of movement. A timeless and twirl-able wedding gown? Check and check.

Inspiration: Azurite in Iceland

Bridal portraits may seem like an antiquated tradition, but they are definitely making a comeback. And if a portrait session means a little pre-wedding vacation with your gown and a fabulous photographer, why not? Just look to this Nordic bridal portrait session for inspiration. Huong Nguyen-Takeba took our Azurite gown in Reykjavik, Iceland. Black sand beaches in the North Atlantic Ocean created an almost other-worldly setting for this shoot. And the wind brought the pale aqua and gold layers of silk to life.

Inspiration: Simple and Serene with Azurite and Chrysolite

Peaceful, sentimental perfection featuring our Azurite and Chrysolite gowns. Simple and serene, these cool pastels were captured on film by Mallory Dawn and styled by East Made Event Company for a recent Michael and Carina workshop. This quietly beautiful bridal inspiration was set at The Retreat at Cool Spring in Bluemont, VA., built in 1799 and overlooking the Shenandoah River.

Real Weddings: Meet Leslie

Leslie and Josh were married just outside of Boston at Endicott Estate. The twenty-five room historic mansion provided a perfectly charming setting for the day's festivities. I-dos were exchanged among the 18 acres of rolling lawns, under century old elms, as the sun set. Leslie is wearing a customized gown, created from our Azurite Bodice and Mulberry Skirt; an enchanted blend of modern style and timeless romance. That tiny bow tie is also one of our custom creations. We made it for that sweet little pup, to match Leslie's skirt (of course).

Real Weddings: Meet Rebecca

Red hot! Rebecca chose our Azurite gown. We did it in a custom silk chiffon that is as red, bright and full of life as the bride herself. She and John exchanged vows (with a little sip from a flask to seal the deal) in Hawaii. Other notables? Guests sat with their feet in the water during the ceremony, glitter Keds, a flower bomb half halo, guests all in white, and how 'bout that body chain?!?

Despite the sunshine and green grass, this inspiration shoot has us thinking of winter weddings. Maybe it's the nip in the air or maybe it's the fact that the holiday season is nearly upon us, but we can envision all of these details surrounded by snow. There is a frosty feel to the quartz crystals, rock candy, and shimmering invitations. The draped white fabric is cool against the warm candlelight. Minty green and sage foliage provide the perfect alternative to the typical emerald green and red florals of the season. If we had a winter wedding to design, we would follow in the inspired tracks of this talented team.

Real Weddings: Meet Deidre

So much style in this chic, boho wedding. Deidre and Stefan did it up right! The groom's plaid suit was perfect next to the bride's Azurite Gown. And how about that protea cake topper? Perhaps best of all was the couples' approach to their wedding. When asked what inspired their big day Deidre and Stefan answered, "We took the advice of others: purposefully made the day slower in our heads; we really soaked in each moment. We also had to let go of feeling the need to control the day. We just let it flow." And flow it did! Looks like perfection to us. Congratulations you two!
