Real Weddings: Meet Georgia

We are in awe with Georgia-  she looked absolutely stunning!

The crystal embellishments and tulle overlay on Downton in natural white made the perfect match for her oh-so-perfect wedding day.

a word from our bride..

"Andrew Brodsky and I were married in June 2014 at the Roundhouse at Beacon Falls, a converted mill with floor to ceiling windows and original wooden beams, on the banks of a waterfall.

We met our first week at Hamilton College, the same small school in upstate New York that my parents attended. Looking back on it, our wedding was just like Hamilton—we were surrounded by supportive, loving people, in a gorgeous natural setting, feeling entirely happy and at ease. Both the ceremony and reception focused on the loveliness and elegant simplicity of weddings from times-gone-by: Flowers everywhere, a 1930s jazz band, groomsmen in tuxes, bridesmaids in shimmering champagne gowns. Carol Hannah’s Downton dress fit this scene perfectly.

It was the culmination of a stunning 18 month engagement. Andrew proposed to me after Christmas 2012, at Bryant Park’s skating rink with my parents and future maid-of-honor looking on (he got on his knees in skates! No easy feat). Not long after, I made an appointment at Carol Hannah’s showroom to see a dress in person that my mother and I couldn’t stop talking about—it was the only wedding dress shop I visited.

Thank you to Dara and Carol Hannah for making the showroom one of the warmest, charming places I’ve ever been to. My family and I were so stunned by Downton, and the way I looked, that when I said yes to choosing it, we couldn’t stop laughing at how surreal it all was! An unbelievable experience from start to finish."
