A one-on-one gown shopping experience
We like to think of our studio as a little hidden gem in the garment district. Our cozy, relaxed space perched above the city is set up to be a low stress environment where you have full run of the show. We only see one bride at a time and a dedicated stylist will be your point person from purchase to pickup. (Is there anything worse than looking at a bride in another fitting room in the same dress you’re trying on? No thank you.) Customizations are easy since production of your gown occurs on-site!
No rush, lots of fuss - we’ll obsess over all those little details with you and provide technical knowledge and fashion savvy guidance along the way. We’re here to listen and support, offering our expertise and honest opinions when asked. Never pushy, we believe it’s an honor to be entrusted with your business and consider ourselves to be in the service of our visiting brides, whether they purchase or not.
While our pieces are an investment, we strive to create an environment free of any kind pretentiousness.
Shop Where It’s Made
Brides who visit our studio have the advantage of shopping every gown in our current and past collections, seeing where and how they are made, and making nearly any customization they want. You can tweak a current style or start from scratch with a custom designed gown!
Our brides are also able to take advantage of buying where our gowns are made by coming in for fittings during the production process: rather than starting the alterations process after the gown is complete, we fit the base of your gown before we begin draping or adding embellishment. Instead of altering a standard sized gown to fit you, we simply build the gown around your body! This results in a better fit in the end and less alterations stress on the garment overall. Wipe away all those alterations nightmare stories your friends have told you - we work hand in hand with you to make sure every style line and detail is precisely how you want it.
Head to Toe Styling
We also offer:
-accessories like veils, headpieces, sashes, coverups, and jewelry
-little white dresses for showers, receptions, or elopements
-colorful party dresses for special events or no reason at all!
-mother of the bride/groom dresses
what to expect:
We do require appointments.
We only work with one bride at a time so that we can give you our undivided attention and the best service possible. You’ll have full run of the shop so you can have a relaxing and intimate experience!
All of the gowns you will be trying on are samples.
Once you select your style, a new gown will be made and customized just for you! Our sample gowns range in size from original runway samples of size 4s up to size 24, with the majority between size 6 and size 14. Our samples will rarely fit you perfectly, but your stylist for the appointment is also part of our design and production team, so she will walk you through exactly how each style will fit you when it is your size and correctly proportioned to your body. We are able to produce gowns up to a size 32.
It's best to limit the number of people you bring with you.
to one or two trusted friends/family members. Too many opinions can be overwhelming and confusing. Sometimes it is helpful to come to your first appointment solo and then bring your entourage in to view the finalists at another appointment. Our space is limited, so we don’t recommend bringing more than 4 guests. If you do require a larger party, just call ahead and let us know.
Our gowns range from $2000-$11000 with most falling between $3500-$6500. Don’t forget about alterations, which are typically around $850. We recommend setting your budget in advance and we’ll help you stick to it. You’re welcome to try on any gown in our studio, but nothing's worse than falling in love with something outside your comfort zone, so we find it's best to keep budget in mind when making your selections to try on.
Just getting started?
