Cheers! Wedding Cocktails

In a new monthly series, let's explore one of everyone's favorite parts of weddings:  signature cocktails!

First up, we're sharing the recipe for our own special libation from our 2015 runway show, created for us by the experts at Mint Catering.

Signature Wedding Cocktails

Mint CateringGinger Sparkler

• 2 teaspoons finely grated and peeled fresh ginger

• 1/2 cup sugar

• 1 bottle (750 ml) sparkling wine

1. STEP 1

Set a fine-mesh sieve over a small bowl; set aside. In a small saucepan, boil

ginger, sugar, and 1/4 cup water until syrupy, about 2 minutes. Pour through

sieve into bowl, discarding solids. (To store syrup, refrigerate in an airtight

container, up to 1 week.)

2. STEP 2

Pour 1 tablespoon syrup into each of 8 tall glasses. Top with sparkling wine, and

gently stir.

Mint Catering for Carol Hannah - Signature Wedding Cocktails

Need help coming up with the best booze-y ideas for your own wedding?  Mint says your vendor should ask you the following:

"1) Color!  What color/hue is being used for the event - should we match that color or perhaps think of something complimentary?
2) Type of alcohol. Are you/your guests Grey Goose, Patron or Champagne drinkers?
3) Glassware. Do you love the look of a Martini Glass or do you prefer say a mason jar?
With the above 3 answers you may then create away!"
